1. Who we are

This website is operated for Pooja Travels, a car rental and taxi service owned by A. Yakoob and based at 6-4-484, Krishna Nagar Colony, Secunderabad, Telangana – 500025, India. For any privacy question, contact us on +91 96527 96207 or at poojatravescars.in@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

We only ask for information needed to arrange and manage a journey:

Booking details: pickup and destination, date and time, trip type, passenger and luggage counts, chosen vehicle, and any notes you add.
Contact details: your name, mobile number and, if you provide it, your email address.
Account details: your name, email address, mobile number and password. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed.
Booking records: a booking reference, status changes, timestamps and the driver or vehicle assigned.
Enquiries: the subject and message you send through the contact form.
Driver location: if a driver chooses to share GPS from the driver dashboard, their coordinates are used to show progress on the tracking page while the trip is active.

We do not collect card numbers, CVV codes, bank credentials or UPI PINs on this website. Payment is arranged directly with Pooja Travels.

3. Demo mode on this preview

Until the WordPress booking backend is connected, this build runs in demo mode. Accounts, bookings and enquiries are stored in your own browser using localStorage. Nothing is sent to a server, and clearing your browser data removes those records. Demo accounts and sample data are labelled DEMO and must not be treated as real bookings.

4. How we use your information

To prepare a quotation and confirm availability.
To assign a driver and vehicle and to contact you about the trip.
To let you view, track or cancel your own booking.
To keep a record of trips for accounting, safety and dispute handling.
To answer enquiries and improve how the website and service work.
To meet legal or regulatory obligations that apply to us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

5. Who can see it

Pooja Travels staff who handle bookings and dispatch, on a need-to-know basis.
The assigned driver, who receives the pickup, destination, date, time and a contact number for the trip.
Service providers that make the website work — for example our hosting provider, and Google Maps if a Maps API key is configured. Google Fonts may also load from Google's servers.
WhatsApp, only if you choose to send a booking or enquiry through WhatsApp. That message is then handled under WhatsApp's own privacy terms.

We may disclose information if required by law, or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety.

6. Cookies and local storage

This website does not use advertising or profiling cookies. In demo mode it uses your browser's local storage for the session, account and booking records. Google Maps and Google Fonts, when loaded, may set their own cookies or similar identifiers under their policies. You can block or clear these through your browser settings, although some features may then stop working.

7. How we protect it

Passwords are hashed rather than stored as plain text. In the demo build this uses PBKDF2-SHA256 in your browser; a connected WordPress backend uses PHP's password_hash(). Access to booking records is limited by role, and the live site should be served over HTTPS. No system is completely secure, so please use a unique password and tell us immediately if you suspect misuse of your account.

8. How long we keep it

Demo data stays in your browser until you clear it or use the reset option. For a connected backend, booking and account records are kept only as long as needed for the trip, accounting, safety and legal requirements, then deleted or anonymised. Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept only long enough to respond and follow up.

9. Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you about future trips. Contact the office using the details above. We may need to verify your identity, and we may need to keep certain records where the law requires it. If you have sent us a WhatsApp message, you can also delete or manage that conversation in WhatsApp.

10. Children

This website is intended for adults arranging travel. Minors should travel with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 18.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the website or the service changes. The “last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Please check this page before relying on it for a new booking.
